The Challenge
A multimedia education institute wanted to introduce a recurring feature that would encourage reader participation and strengthen engagement with its monthly publication.
The challenge was to create a visual concept that was entertaining, instantly recognizable, and relevant to the institute’s audience while remaining consistent over an extended period.
The Solution
Working closely with the editorial team, Santaplix developed an interactive monthly feature inspired by the classic «Who’s Who?» concept.
Each edition presented a black-and-white caricature of a well-known figure from popular culture, carefully selected to resonate with the institute’s students. The illustrations were designed to be immediately recognizable while encouraging readers to identify the character and engage with the publication.
The simplicity of the visual style allowed the feature to become a consistent editorial element that could be sustained month after month without losing its appeal.

The Result
Over the course of two years, the series became a recurring part of the publication, providing readers with an entertaining point of interaction while reinforcing the magazine’s visual identity.
The project demonstrates how illustration can become more than a decorative element, serving instead as a tool to foster participation, build audience engagement, and create continuity across an editorial publication.
